OK, so I put up a content management system for a class project on the future of computers (link will come later), along with a site design. The other members of the class are simply responsible for entering in worthwhile content. We had discussed having off-site links, but they should only be accompanied by an abstract describing what the link is, why they picked it out, etc. This way we can have a site that is more meaty than just being a link to a link to an article.
SO I give everyone their logins, and then tell them to get on and test it out. The monkeys proceed to post links only. This means several things: graduates in Computer Science can’t follow instructions, I will have to devise a check to make sure they put in a few lines of text along with a link, and I am a large boob for continuing to volunteer to spearhead projects of this kind.
It’s going to be robot fighting time tomorrow during class, you all have my word on that.
