Tonight Tasha and I went to play cards with some people from Church. Generally I don’t like to voluntarily place myself in groups of people that attend my Church, but we were pursuaded to go by a mutual friend. I was concerned there would be priests present, but luckily this was not the case.

All in all it was not a bad night, aside from the fact that Tasha and I went winless all night. For some reason, we just CAN’T win when we play Euchre together. All losses aside, it was actually pretty fun. Our friend’s new boyfriend is a pretty cool guy, a bit on the vocal side but that’s OK. We share a similar sense of humor which is pretty fun.

The event was being held at the girl’s house that is singing at our wedding, it turns out that she was on the Speech Team with us in High School. She’s pretty nice (make GREAT peanut butter cookies), and her husband is pretty cool. They have two kids, one is an infant that burst out in screaming a few times during the evening, but it was tolerable.

They also had two dogs that were both very nice. I am granted a +5 circumstance bonus to my Having Fun checks if there are 1d4 nice dogs present. One was this little Japanese Chin dog (used to be called a Japanese Spaniel or something) that weighed in at about seven pounds. I don’t usually like little dogs, but this one was pretty cute. The other one reminded me of my aunt’s old dog that she had when I was a kid.

I might actually do this again, but only if there are 1d4 nice dogs present.
