Friday night, Tasha and I were bored so we elected to go see Ella Enchanted. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much material in the previews for the Dirty Squirrel Review this time around. The movie itself was fun, but I couldn’t help but echo the same sentiment expressed by
Despite this oversight by the filmmakers, the movie was still quite a bit of fun and had many Princess Bride/Knights Tale qualities. I was surprised to hear that Ella Enchanted pulled #2 in the box office this weekend… it was Tasha, me, and two other people in the entire theatre at 9:00 on a Friday night.
Saturday was D&D night but due to some scheduling difficulties we didn’t get started until 10:00 pm. We basically only covered the opening throes of war, and the night ended with some large cages rolling up that contained some quite frightening creatures. Some good roleplaying was had prior to the war starting, so I’ll be curious to see how the rest of this battle goes.
Sunday was pretty much a wasteland. Tasha wasn’t feeling good (she’s coming down with a cold), so we got up about 11:00 am or so, had French Toast (I love my wife), and then proceeded to crash again until about 3:00 pm. Then we moved a load of stuff from her grandparents house before Church, and after Church it was off to my grandparents house for dinner. We got back about 11:00 pm and were pretty much ready for bed.
I can’t wait until we are finished moving into this house so that the constant activity can die off. I also can’t wait until my visiting relatives clear out so we’re done with the impromptu “better go visit so-and-so before they head back home” get togethers.
