Last night’s adventure to the DMV wasn’t as horrible as I initially expected. I was a bit concerned with the signs sitting around that had motivational phrases like “BOTH signatures must be on form X – No Exceptions” but once I got up to the front the woman was both helpful and fast.
I also had to get a replacement drivers license that reflected my new place of residence. I also registered to vote, so that I might see that Anyone But Bush gets elected. I’m leaning toward the foreign policy of the cactus dressed up like a Spanish conquistador. That guy always seems to make sense.
One surprise… they didn’t force me to have my picture taken. Apparently I have either not aged sufficiently in three years or the woman was being lazy. Either way, it was pretty painless.
I got back to the house about 6 pm and I was starving. After dinner, Tasha decided that she wanted to move a bunch of small to moderately sized furniture from her grandparents house. That proved to be much less fun than going to advanced class, but it had to be done nonetheless.
So we moved furniture until about 10:30 pm. When we got home and started getting ready for bed, we realized that we were out of bread. This is a problem because I have resolved (successfully so far) to bring my lunch three times a week. So we had a late-night run to Krogers to pick up some provisions. Nothing exciting occurred during this outing, but I thought it warranted mentioning anyway.
