This morning I spent some time spec-ing out a couple of laptops for my darling wife and I. I’m very close to settling on 3.06 gig P4’s with 1 GB DDR SDRAM. They both have 64MB DDR NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200 AGP 4x graphics cards and 802.11g wireless networking cards. Both have 24x CD-RW/DVD combo drives, because I’m not about to buy one without a burner in it. They also have 15″ SXGA+ displays.
40 gig hard drives appear to be plenty for me as I have yet to actually fill up one. The only cost tradeoff that we did between the two laptops was that Tasha got Office 2003 Pro, where I elected for a Canon Powershot A70 3mp 3x optical zoom camera instead.
I’m tempted to reconfigure their gaming laptop and lose the digitial camera… the option is a 128MB RADEON graphics card, which I know is preferred for running the next-gen FPS games that are coming out. The added benefit to this as well is that I gain .4″ of display on top of the kickass graphics card.
Any thoughts from those of you lucky enough to own one of these badboys?
