Traffic was terrible this morning, so I got to work two minutes late for my 8:00 am meeting. I wasn’t too concerned about it.
This week began my new employee orientation, so today is the first day this week that I’ve been at my desk. We’re finally getting around to designing some things and testing others, so I’ve had some work load lately. This is a good problem to have, as it staves off boredom quite well.
I really don’t have much new to report aside from my novel about Karate that I posted last night. I went over to visit my cousin John for an hour last night, we shot a few racks of pool before I had to head home. John and I went to the store because I was mandated by my beautiful wife to go and get milk before I came home, so he came with me. We drove around and visited for a bit and I decided to get Wal-Mart gas so I could get filled up while it was below $1.90.
I think John’s finally starting to settle down and think about things like an adult (or at least *more* like an adult), so that’s a good trend for him to be on. I don’t understand what the hell took him so long to realize he doesn’t really want to be slinging chicken for the rest of his life. He was telling me about how he’s excited to be heading toward a real college to continue his music education, and that he might get a business minor so he can work in a real job while he gets his music off the ground. He then turned around and showed me how his new phone can take pictures and that “he’s sure to get tons of girls to show their boobs now.” Apparently some things never change.
Aside from that, I think I get to spend the evening in tonight. That will be a welcome change from the constant running around that we’ve been doing. More later, I have to go work now.
