Busy…

Busy at work, busy with the house preparations, busy in general.

I was able to get into our new house for some pictures, there are a few more awesome 70’s detail pictures that I did not upload yet.

We’ve been discussing a maelstrom of decorating ideas… everything ranging from an Asian themed libraries to Elven themed bedrooms, with a dash of Fat Italian Guy kitchens thrown in for good measure. In the end, the only room that we’re 100% sure what it is going to end up like is the basement. We’re going to retain a good portion of the decor down there (NOT the carpet) and try for an LOTR styled English pub feel.

Last night Tasha and I decided to go up to American furniture to look at some stuff for the new house. I found this big red couch that I really liked, and it was hella comfortable. Tasha said that it was a Rowe, which meant that it carried some of the most awesome warranties along with it. We’re afraid that the set is too large for the front living room, so we’re going to wait until we get into the house with a measuring tape before we commit.

Tonight I get to go and talk to the woman about financing… I’m going to try to see how much I can weasel into the financing for immediate home improvements. I don’t know how successful I will be, hopefully it will work out. Otherwise, I’m going to make Discover a very happy company.
