I have whirlwinded through the pile of work that I had on my desk this morning with the fervor of 1000 Lumbars.
I have a few more things to handle this morning before trekking forth to the inspection of my new home. If this passes, I am only as far as dropping off the paperwork to the Beast at the bank away from sealing this deal.
I was afraid that today was going to take a lot more effort than I had originally expected. It amazes me how people that you expect to be combative like our DBA and the people that are driving this hard deadline are actually very nice and helpful when you call them and talk to them one-on-one.
Heading into the last step of the homebuying process is still pretty fun and scary. I have visions in my head of the inspector finding wiring from 1903 or a dead emu in the plumbing or various other things that would require me to request vast amounts of repairs/fixes from the current homeowners. I hope everything is as pristine as possible from a 31 year old house. I will update with results after the inspection is complete.
