Last night I neglected Karate in order to help Tasha find a dress for the wedding. However, before the dress buying, we had to go and get Tasha’s eyes checked at Sam’s. That took about an hour or so, and by the time the exam was through the Cat Benefits place was closed so we couldn’t file the claim to the insurance. Great. That means I have to do battle with the trolls that work over there.
By this time, we were also very hungry. I decided that Avanti’s would work since they have great food and we hadn’t been there since the wedding. I had my personal favorite Italian beef, and Tasha had the ravioli. This family behind us elected to bring their three year old with them, who would ocassionaly squeal like a stuck pig for a few minutes.
At one point, I elected to go to the restroom, and when I came back I had to do a double take. Several of the girls at the table next to Squealing Pig Boy were dressed so scantily that for a brief moment I thought they weren’t wearing shirts at all. Luckily, on second examination, they were just wearing extremely low cut tank tops. I remarked to Tasha that if we ever have little girls, they are not allowed to dress in this fashion for any reason. My thoughts briefly drifted to Raleigh, but then I got scared and drifted back to my Italian beef. Which is unlike Raleigh in every way.
Anyway… we ended up going to Northwoods to look at Famous Bar. They had old lady dresses and prom dresses mostly, so we elected to try elsewhere. Quickly, Tasha decided on Maurice’s. Our attendant was very peppy and eager to help out, which was quite unusual for store clerks. Tasha found a few dresses on the clearance rack that she wanted to try on, so she went into the fitting room to try them. The first one I didn’t get too good of a look at, but the second one looked really good on her. She and the attendant discussed options in undergarmenting, which is something that I didn’t fully understand. I just agreed and told Tasha she looked great (because she did) and we made a few other purchases to complete the outfit before heading out of there. A quick trip to Sears got her shoes, and we’re good to go.
Now all I have to do is figure out when to pick up my tux…
