We spent the rest of the class doing horrible things to each other, like clashing blocks and testing stances in sanchin-dachi. The real killer for me was testing our stances with round kicks to the outer and inner thighs. As an added bonus, Sensei Hartman showed us how to “dead weight” our legs to provide the optimum amount of jarring power to our partners. It is two hours later, and my body continues to ache.
I love it. There must be something wrong with me, because I really enjoyed the pain of going through a trial like this.
