Thursday’s workout was interesting to me for several different reasons… I think
Highlights of the first class include round kicks moving forward then immediately moving backwards, and round kicks to the four corners. The second class consisted of a kata bonanza so great that it almost hurts to recount it. We did all five Heians, all three Tekki’s twice, and all basic four black belt katas twice.
This morning’s class was very reminenscent of the same, we’re tapering off our work on the basic combinations and continuing to focus on kata. This week will be the last that we directly focus on kata, because then we’re moving into sparring. McCabe and I have requested a dry run of the exam with
We are at T-6 weeks. Things are starting to sharpen up for everyone involved and I think we’ll end up putting out a good show on the test. More news as it progresses.
