Kudos to you, Dave Matthews.

This weekend I was messing around on iTunes and I noticed that Dave Matthews Band was featured as an iTunes exclusive. Intrigued, I clicked along and found that his newest single, American Baby, is available in front of his new studio album to come later this month.

Dave Matthews has long been an iTunes holdout. I’m happy to see that his lust for money has finally cracked the desire to stick to his guns and now I’ll be able to continue screwing both record companies and Walmart by not buying their CDs at inflated store prices.

I hope that after Stand Up has been released the rest of his albums will soon follow. I have liked Dave Matthews since before I graduated high school (before every fraternity in history liked Dave Matthews) so I’m happy to start to get his stuff in the format I desire.

More artists need to jump on the iTunes bandwagon. Its a good thing and you reach a larger audience. And you don’t support Walmart, which is a good thing.
