I haven’t heard that name in a very long time…

While surfing the web tonight, I ran across an old graphics class friend… POVRay raytracing software. This app implements the raytracing algorithm to produce extremely awesome images, and they hold an annual competition to produce the most awesome stuff.

Here are the results, halfway down the page. Very incredible stuff that should leave drooling.
