Speakers…

This afternoon I spent a few hours putting my new sound card and speaker configuration in place. Linux was only a moderate pain in the ass to configure, and I am proud to report that I have room rattling sound coming out of 5.1 channels. 🙂

I attempted to play Star Wars on DVD, it worked the first few times before my DVD playing software decided that it was better to hang up than it was to continue playing my DVD. This prompted me to install the newer, better DVD software for Linux named xine.

Tasha has commandeered the TV to play Fable for awhile, so I will get to try this out later on tonight or tomorrow. I’m looking forward to tweaking my new speaker setup to kick the collective butts of everyone on my block. 🙂
