Tonight I was mulling over my options for the placement and wiring of my new television, and I got some good news. This news was precipitated by
The guy at Shermans told me that this is part of the standard installation for the plasma TVs. His exact words were “we wouldn’t sell you a great TV like that and leave you with an ugly cable hanging down.”
So that was good news. That leaves me with a few quandries… now I have to decide for sure what wall I want this thing on (leaning towards the same wall as my TV is currently on), where my MythTV will reside (thinking about moving one of the lower-sitting side tables over so it can be out of the way), and how I can rewire my Klipsh speakers for optimal awesomeness (no idea).

I’m not sure when I’m going to undertake that venture and the HDMI cables are $50-$300 online (yikes). Crary, I think I may still want Brian to come over and assess the situation. Maybe we can work something out for Monday or Tuesday night. Give me a call sometime and we’ll figure it out.
