Today Tasha and I hosted her family for Christmas Eve lunch. Her dad, grandpa, and brother came over and we had sandwiches and opened some gifts. It was a pretty nice time, we don’t spend much time with her side and it was good for a change of pace.
In about an hour, we are headed to Children’s Mass at Church. Then its off to my aunt’s annual Christmas Eve party where we get together, eat food, and look forward to Christmas. Tomorrow morning it will be off to my parents, then to my family get together (again, at my aunt’s) for presents, to my great-aunt’s house for their annual gathering, and that will wrap up Christmas Day.
For the record, Tasha’s dad got us a cool present… one of those large Forever Flashlights. He also got me a Cubs shirt and some plasticware containers for the kitchen. He enjoyed his present, so did Tasha’s grandpa and brother.
So first stage of Christmas has been negotiated without major hull integrity failure. I don’t know if I will have much time to post tomorrow, but if I do it will be late. I’ve been giving some major thought about how I want to appoint my home entertainment setup since the big screen arrived, I will probably embark on reconfiguring all of that on Monday or Tuesday. 🙂
Merry Christmas to all of my friends, both nearby and floating out here in cyberspace.
