The things found in my grandparents basement…

Tonight my grandparents stopped back by to fulfill their previously attempted goal: to give me this wooden owl.

I swear there is actually some sort of museum of the Strange and Wonderful in their basement, and every once in awhile they get the desire to get rid of some of the stuff.

I have no idea where this thing came from, but it has HAITI inscribed on the top of its head and Grandpa says that he got it from some doctor that worked in Peoria eons ago.

I think this guy will sit in my basement until I find out exactly what he’s good for. I’m thinking its either warding off or housing of evil spirits.

And thats right: I did set up a Flickr account finally. I’m going to need to be schooled in the fine art of free account management, so perhaps someone can walk me through that tomorrow. 🙂
