This morning marked the triumphant return of my Dad. He and I arrived around 10 after 8 this morning and started in on our kata training.
I was able to knock out 20 Sochin, however I was fighting the whole way to do it. For some reason I’m turning my feet out before I move in stance, but in order to fix it I lose focus in my rear end, causing my butt to stick out. When I try to fix that problem, my feet turn out as I move. Its a vicious circle.
I have to say my protein supplement is helping with my recovery, however I seem to be more prone to muscle fatigue and cramping as a result. I had to take three or four water breaks in order to keep hydrated enough to continue.
We also got some sparring in, and it is remarkably obvious that I’m doing a lot of kata. I was having a hard time with the sparring training, however I was able to land a nice front kick/lunge punch combination on Erbe and a few nice techniques on
For some reason, our fearless leader
I suppose this is probably one of my cyclical downturns in my training, I will pop out of it in a week or two. I hope. 🙂
