My home will eventually be my castle…

My lovely wife and I are beginning to plan our dream home — a castle.

We plan to eventually build it using conventional materials and techniques, but give it a castle motif. I did some searching and found someone in Pittsburgh doing basically the same thing that we want to do. We don’t necessarily like the concept of a Great Hall, it just seems like a huge waste of space however I do like their general design.

Tasha wants to have a library in there, similar to this one. That’s about all the further that we’ve gotten so far. I’m going to try to find some CAD software to start laying out some floor plans so we have an idea how big of a lot we’ll need. Then the shopping and saving will begin. 🙂
