This morning it was a pretty small group.
We did the first ten slow to moderate speed, and then we did the last fifteen as “battle kata” with only a thirty second break in between. I’ve come to realize that my endurance will last for between 21 and 23 kata. I was really gutting it out for the last two.
My first battle kata of the session really felt great. I don’t know what the difference was, but I wasn’t extremely out of breath at the end and most of my techniques felt “on”. After the workout we were at Steak and Shake and my legs became dreadfully aware of what they had just done. I stood up from the booth and it was apparent the biker shorts of pain had reappeared.
