Saturday’s workout was an important one for me… I knew I was staring down the barrel of a long night at work for a code release (and it was a long night, we got done at midnight!) so I was eager to blow off some steam and have a fun workout as stress management.

The sparring felt especially good… it was a bit of an upswing compared to Thursday night, I both took and gave some pretty good shots. I tried to enact a plan of attacking a little more and committing to the techniques and it met with marginal success. More importantly though, I left with a smile on my face ready to face the pleasantness of a difficult night at work.
This week marks two belt rank tests, so the front half of the week will be spent judging and doing the pre-test workouts which are always fun. If things hold together at the office I’m going to attempt to take a three day weekend this coming weekend, so that will be something to look forward to.
Tomorrow (well, later on today), I get to sign the papers for my home refinance which will put a further giant dent in my credit card elimination plan. I will post an update for that after the associated payments go in and the change is reflected in my pretty graphs. I’m happy to say that it is going much better at this point than I ever could have planned for only one year in.
