Been in a bit of a blogging lull lately, so I’ll summarize the last few workouts:
Saturday – Mapleton closed due to power issues, so we trekked on back in the snow to Pekin. We did an hour of black belt kata and some basics, and were charged $5 apiece which was a surprise to everyone.
Tuesday – The illustrious return of
Tonight – The basics trend continued. I led warmups and we plowed through 100 ab exercises and 30 pushups. The triangle pushups are just plain miserable, I’m glad we did them though. The first class was all basics in stance, especially kiba-dachi. The second class was a few Bassai Dai kata to warm up, followed by a bonanza of sparring.
I was REALLY dragging tonight… nothing felt good except for the little bit of sparring at the end of class. I was tentative, my timing was off… I got popped in the nose by
I don’t know what it is right now, but I’ve got to do something to break out of this burned out phase that I’m in… working out has been a bit of a chore lately, and I hate the plateaus like this.
