I had to work late tonight. Again. Hooray.
Instead of being bitter about it, I came home and grilled a triumphant dinner of assorted meat products and made a big mess of french fries. I then proceeded to dock my hindquarters on the couch, surf the Internet, and watch TV.
The warmness of our upstairs eventually drove me into the basement, where I decided to pick up my guitar. Finding that my favorite guitar tab website, OLGA is apparently down due to some legal problems I started surfing randomly for guitar tablature and came across a quick guitar lesson on how to play Tom Petty’s “Free Fallin'”.
Luckily, Tom Petty wrought himself a very simple song there and I’m happy to report I was playing pretty closely with the actual timing of the song before I put it away for the night.
Also, on a completely unrelated note: the soundtrack for the movie “Across the Universe” is AMAZING. Ye Gods, I’m going to see that thing this weekend.
All of that being said, I’m still not completely relaxed. Work is really weighing on me heavily, and not even a gospel rendition of Let It Be can shake it. But its helping.
