I braved the elements this morning to go to train in Mapleton, and was somewhat surprised that I was the only one. I started out with a Sochin and worked my way backwards through the black belt katas, working down through the Tekki katas, and into the Heians. Around 8:45, Lawrence-san arrived so I wasn’t all by myself.
We started back up the list of the Heian katas, doing each one a few times if we had rough patches and we settled on Tekki Nidan. We did probably around 5-10 of those because like me, Trent never had to test for that kata and didn’t know it as well.
We decided to call it quits around 9:30, but I did get a good sweat going and it was nice to get a chance to catch up on kata and to catch up with Trent a little.
