Today’s workout consisted of normal Saturday basics, then some drills to focus on side thrust kick and roundhouse kick using the stage as a reminder of how high these kicks should be.
This was followed by two Tekki Nidan kata, then pushups until you couldn’t do pushups any more (my puny arms could only muster 50 in sets of 10), two more Tekki Nidans, then hovers as long as possible (we did hovers and leg raises to get both sides), then two more Tekki Nidans.
Six kata took over a half hour to get complete.
