Today was a fantastic day at Mapleton! After their morning jog,
It all started with the Perfect Pushup handles. Mike explained to me the Perfect Pushup Workout that comes with the handles, so we went ahead with that. The workout goes thusly: within two minutes you do a set of 8 pushups, 6 pushups, 4 pushups, and 2 pushups. The first set is normal pushups, the second set is closer to your body, and the final set is wide outside. I did a set of tricep dips with the handles prior to this, using that same program.
By the end of it, my arms were DEAD. Mike and I set out into basics up and down the gym at the end of each run we’d stop and do some blocks against each others arms to condition them.
After this we got some water, then went right into kata. We did a total of two Tekki Nidan and five Tekki Sandan. Interspersed between the katas were ab workouts, passing the medicine ball while doing crunches and then leg lifts with three sets of eight drops of the 12 pound medicine ball.

I love hard workouts like this, and I’m going to find it very hard to move tomorrow. Good times!
