I’m counting my Saturday workout as Perfect Pushups #1… because… well… I’m counting it. Anything that sucks that bad has to count for something, right?
I got off work a little early today because my all-day meeting let out and I did some support work on Sunday, so I decided to crack out the Perfect Pushup Handles for workout number two.
I was able to gut through the set of regular pushups in standard fashion, however I could only make it through half of the close pushups before I had to switch to my knees. Surprisingly, the easiest set for me was the wide pushups.
I always knew that I had zero upper body strength but WOW does this stuff hurt. My muscles weren’t fully recovered from Saturday’s barrage. I will be curious to see if today’s workout releases that lactic acid and I get back to feeling normal. Maybe it will take a week, I have no idea.
I do know that I can see my (small) pectoral muscles right now, which is something that is new for me. I’m going to stretch my muscles for a bit before finding some Advil and the couch.
