This morning I ventured out from the warm embrace of my bed to train in Mapleton. I could recount the specifics of the workout, but I will defer to my good buddy
Suffice it to say, we did a killer basics set, with strengthening interspersed throughout. I will say that doing 50 dips doesn’t seem to be as hard as the close Perfect Pushup set for some reason.
We rounded out the morning with some sparring. I got the benefit of being across from
To nobody’s surprise, my favorite counter attacks were front leg side thrust kick and roundhouse kick. I was having some trouble pushing my stomach level punches, but my head level ones were doing pretty well.
I really enjoy getting to train this way. I feel like I’m getting stronger, faster, and my sparring timing and speed is coming up quickly. Getting to do this with a like-minded group has been a great motivator, enough to get me out of bed while still half-sick on a Saturday morning.
