2008 Workout #22: A little bit of everything…

Tonight it was a small class… mostly yellow belts, one blue belt, , Erbe, , Lawrence-san, , and me. We took turns running the class through a basic test syllabus. We split the class into groups for kata, and I ended up with the yellow belts. I ran them through kata focusing on mental intent, which is good… we closed the class allowing the lower ranks a chance to do a full speed attack on me and Rush-san.

even had us put both our hands behind our backs and evade or kick as a counter, it was a good time. Oddly, the clock in the room was running out of batteries and the class went WAY long… we dismissed the first class when the clock said 7:35, but in actually it was 7:55. Oh well, a little extra karate stuff never killed anyone.

The second class we worked on kata… we did Bassai Dai, Kanku Dai, Jion, Empi, Nijushiho, and Sochin. Good times!
