Today’s was quite possibly one of the most difficult workouts I have ever done. We did basics up and down the gym, taken directly from the Shodan and Nidan black belt exams. At one end of the gym, we did pushups, the other situps.
I was able to muster 20 perfect pushups the first pass and 60 crunches (three sets of 20 each). My grand totals for the day ended up being: 100 perfect pushups and 240 crunches. I even capped off the workout with 10 of the horrible Krav Maga style situps. Major kudos go to
Before the Krav Maga death, we did relaxed katas… all three Tekki’s, the four basic black belt katas, and the three nidan test katas… all in a row, no breaks.
I have to say that I honestly left all of my previous limitations in the dust today. I’ve never done so many pushups, and was quite surprised to find that I probably had enough stamina to get more done above the 100 but I wanted to stop at a reasonable number.
Everybody did a phenomenal job today…
