On the way back home today, Tasha and I devised a plan to get going on some of our home improvement to-do lists that have been growing since we got this house four years ago. We made a trip to Menards, and $120 later we have paint for my shed, our upstairs bathroom, and various other odds and ends that we’ve been meaning to get to.
I resolved myself to finally mow our lawn for the first time since the weather warmed up, but I was dismayed to find that the front right tire of my mower had gone flat over the winter months. So flat, in fact, that it was off the rim. So some searching around on the Internet and consulting of my Dad later, I got some Fix-a-Flat from Auto Zone and that did the trick. I went to turn on the mower, and it seems that my battery is dead too… I get a series of clicking sounds as it goes to turn the mower on, but not so much with the actual starting of the engine. Plenty of gas, plenty of oil… so I might be going out in search of a replacement battery either later on tonight or tomorrow. Hooray!
Oh well, at least our weekend getaway was good!
