Today I elected to work from home in order to crank out some of this project that I was running behind on. Thankfully, I’m about 90% of the way there now and with a little luck and some guidance from our senior software architect I might be able to get it done this weekend. I had to pop by the office for a meeting with my supervisor, but after that it was onward to my sister’s birthday party.
It is our family tradition that Mom makes us a meal of our choosing for our birthday. Her choice was round steak with gravy and mashed potatoes, which is one of my long-time favorites too. I am now overstuffed and as a result I got distracted and sleepy, almost enough to make me miss my daily blogging!
Thankfully, I remembered and you all get to be regaled by my tales of overeating and sloth. But none of that tomorrow! I intend to be at karate bright and early, followed by helping my cousin move, getting to the grocery store, and then a cookout with some friends from work and a later showing of Iron Man!
I’ve got to get a little work done on Sunday, I’ve got to finish up my documentation for my annual review and finish this piece of software for Monday. I think in the meantime I’m going to read a book… I’ve had several sitting on my shelf taunting me and I never quite get around to reading any of them, so maybe I’ll have to start a “what book I just read” post like Debra over at Reflecting or Scarab over at Scarabology (free linkage ftw!).
That’s all for me right now, woot!
