Tonight, we elected to combine our normal end-of-week workout… so we did half karate and half weights. We did stance training, including the classic front stance training where a partner checks stance and stomach tension while the person in stance does punches. We moved on to basics, kibadachi, back stance, cat stance, and sanchin-dachi. We moved on to the weights, doing 3 sets of 15 reps each. I decided to step my weights from light to normal to heavy with each set.
I’m feeling pretty good right now!
