Looking forward to new things…

I saw a news article today about Apple getting ready for a mid-sized “media pad” which is rumored to be a 7-10″ iPod touch style device.  It’s supposed to be Apple’s offering into the netbook space, possibly acting as an eReader.  Now that I have my iPod touch, I totally get why they’d want to do this.  It’s going to come down to a matter of price for me.

In an imaginary world where I needed another computer, I would be willing to pay $500-$700 for something like that providing it had similar features to my iPod touch and supported more of a standard OS X style operating system.  It’d be even more alluring if they partnered with Verizon to offer some sort of 3G connectivity to go along with it, but that’s probably reaching a little outside the realm of reality.
