The Death Cab for Cutie concert was excellent and so was the Red Rocks venue! We got rained on just a bit in between the two lame opening acts, and then Death Cab took the stage. They played a wide selection of their tunes, mostly off of Narrow Stairs and Plans. They played a few songs that I didn’t recognize from their earlier albums, but closed with an excellent rendition of “Soul Meets Body” and “Transatlanticism”.
I got some pretty ok pictures during the concert, but my small point-and-shoot camera has limited range for such events and the battery life is less than optimal so I didn’t get too many. I will post some of them in the next few days.
We didn’t get back home until almost midnight, which meant that work came unnecessarily early today. A series of frustrating meetings kept me busy most of the day, and I am happy to be out of there for the day. Tasha and I just took a relaxing walk around the neighborhood, and I think I’ll settle in to some TV to relax tonight.
