Tonight I embarked on a culinary adventure. As I mentioned over the weekend, I purchased Ron Douglas’s book “America’s Most Wanted Recipes” and attempted his recipe for Kentucky Fried Chicken. It was great! I overcooked a few pieces of it, but cut down the deep frying to only 2 minutes and it worked out just fine. The book also has other cool copycat recipes… I’m going to try the Outback Steakhouse Key Lime Pie next. They’ve also got a recipe for their Honey-Wheat Bushman’s Bread but you need a breadmaker so I might have to wait awhile on that one.
Not much else going on tonight, heading to the Arvada dojo tomorrow since it’s finally a new month and I can get back to training! Hooray!
