Yesterday, after our chiropractic appointment Tasha and I went out to one of my favorite fast food joints, Chick-fil-A. There I packed myself full of food, and once we got home we elected to take a nap. We both must have needed it, because we slept for over three hours before getting up just in time for dinner. After eating and some slacking off listening to music and playing online I decided that I needed to find my Beatles Anthology disks which had been missing since the move.
Tasha needed to get down to one of her Longaberger basket boxes, and we correctly assumed that both missing items were in the guest bedroom. The guest bedroom had been one of the locations where we just piled boxes and didn’t ever have it put together in a fashion that it could be used, and last night we changed that. We were able to condense/throw out enough stuff to have half of a closet of empty space, and reduced the clutter on top of the hutch to the point where the surface was usable again.
In the process we located my Anthology CDs and most of the displaced Longaberger stuff, and I reduced my replica movie prop stuff down to one giant tub and several drawers of the dresser where most of it had been residing up to now. A few of my projects had spread out all over the place, so we used plastic Gladware to re-contain stuff based on which project it belonged to and it is much more tidy.
So in the end, I’m happy to report that we found most of the lost stuff that we were looking for, and our guest room is all cleaned up for potential guests (of which there have been few). Hooray for late-night cleaning sprees!
