And so it is that I begin my 30’s…

Today was a pretty great birthday.  I had a busy day at work which made it pass quite quickly, and then I came home to have a relaxing evening.  Tasha had a D&D event that she had to go to, so I opted to stay home and get in some loud guitar-playing and TV watching.

Tasha surprised me with news that she wanted to get me an iPod shuffle for my birthday, so when she got home we went out to the Apple Store and I got to pick out which color I wanted.  I opted to go with the silver because I like the matte finish and I noticed that the edges of the colored floor models were wearing through to bare metal a bit.  Right now I’m syncing it up and letting the battery charge, it will be my companion to the gym while I run.

I was really overwhelmed today with so many well-wishes on my Facebook page, Twitter, and via phone.  I’m really lucky to have so many great friends and family and it really made my birthday special to hear from so many of you.  Thanks everyone.

Tasha and I are really looking forward to my birthday party on Saturday, however we’re supposed to get 5-10″ of snow on Friday so it might be a small crowd.  But no worries!  The lure of free beer and free Chick-fil-A will lure people through the frozen wastes!
