So last night I came home from work exhausted. I canceled my plans for karate so I could get some much-needed sleep. Tasha had already turned on the heated mattress pad for me and washed the sheets, so it was an optimal napping experience. Imagine my surprise when Tasha woke me up just an hour and a half later, telling me that I had to come downstairs because there was a surprise for me. And it was a good one.
I headed downstairs and there were my parents! And Wrigley, their golden retriever! They had come out over my Mom’s spring break from school, and most of my friends and Tasha kept it secret because she knows I like surprises. What a great family I have!
Today we took them around to some of our favorite local haunts… Chick-fil-A, Flatiron’s Crossing Mall, and Black and Read. Tomorrow, we’re going to head to Boulder to let them see Pearl Street Mall, maybe hike up Bald Mountain, and then we’re going to go to the Buckhorn Exchange for dinner. Should be a great time!
