Sick day…

I woke up this morning with a pounding back of the head headache, sinuses burning, and throat issues.  I could tell that my sinuses had been draining because my stomach hurt, but after being up for a few minutes I was feeling good enough to get into the office and sort a few things out before going back home to recuperate.  I got home around noon and proceeded to sleep until 5 pm.

I’m feeling better now, despite still sounding terrible with a raspy throat.  I’m going to play work by ear tomorrow morning, if I wake up feeling like I did this morning I might just give it a miss again.

In other news, I missed out on a great guitar today.  MusiciansFriend had a great used Les Paul goldtop for $1750 and they were running a 15% off sale until tomorrow.  That, combined with my MusiciansFriend affiliates program meant I could’ve had that thing for about $1350.  The sad thing is that my check (which enables this whole transaction) won’t arrive until probably Thursday… and sadly, the guitar has been snapped up.  I am a little sad that I missed out on that guitar, but I know I will get a good deal in the future.  I am proud to have kept my resolve and remained debt-free in the face of great temptation.

I guess that just wasn’t my guitar. 🙂
