The garage sale was a resounding success.  We got rid of a large proportion of extra stuff, including several large items that give  us some extra space in our house.  For all that effort, we made a profit of $85.05!
In addition to that, we found out that our community buys everyone that participates a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts so breakfast was provided.
About noon I walked around the block to see who else was participating, and the woman a few doors down had a vinyl collection for sale.  There  was a copy of Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours” in there with a pretty beat up jacket.  I ended up getting it for $2.
She also had some pretty large (and old!) hi-fi speakers on sale for $3 apiece. Â I opted not to get those because I wasn’t sure how to connect them to my record player but I told her if I could find out I would be interested.
I left, and figured I’d just let those go.
At the end of the sale, she walked by and told me that if I wanted those speakers I could have them for free since she didn’t want to haul them back into the house. Â So now I have hi-fi speakers. 🙂
I call the day a success. Â We got rid of junk, made some money, and I got some additional items for my vinyl hobby. Â Good times.
