Today I caught the 8:10 am flight from Peoria to Denver. I thought I had misplaced my National rental agreement and since there was no person at the booth I had to write a note and drop my keys off. After I made my way through security, I found said rental agreement and elected to go back through the line so I could leave the proper paperwork with the rental car company. No big deal, the Peoria airport is laughably small so it was easy.
The flight itself was uninteresting. It seemed like it went on far too long, but I think that’s just because I was bored and tired.
After I got back to Denver, Tasha and I treated ourselves to Denny’s and then a long nap for both of us. As per our normal Sunday ritual, Tasha cut coupons and I inertly “helped” by stacking them into piles that ultimately needed reorganizing. It doesn’t make much sense but it works for us. :) While doing this, we spied a Back To School special on a 26″ Westinghouse HDTV/DVD combo for $299 at Target. My old TV that I had since I was 12 was going out… the brightness was out of whack and the speakers were nearly shot so we got rid of it during our garage sale a few months ago, and now we have a replacement!
It’s back to work for me tomorrow… it has been two full weeks since I was last in the office here in Colorado. One week was GenCon, the other was working from Peoria designing and planning a project to come later on this year. The rest of the actual work going on has been a mystery to me since that time. I am about the most relaxed I’ve been for awhile, so I say BRING IT ON, WORKPLACE! I hope this relaxation carries me through the start of this work week, it might be stressful getting back into the swing of things.
More soon!
