Tonight I finally made it back to the dojo, after weeks of work getting in the way. We did a large amount of basics and combinations and then moved on to partner drills and kata to wrap up the workout.
The bulk of the training tonight was on body shifting, moving across the floor and changing direction amid punching and kicking combinations. I found I was covering a large amount of distance and felt pretty good, but for several reasons my stance has grown weak. I can still move around sufficiently, but I’d be a lot happier if my legs were more stable when I decide to stop moving.
I feel SO much better after karate tonight, it was much needed stress relief. More soon!
