Last night was our first night home with Eve. She took to her new surroundings well, sleeping all night in her new crib with only minimal fussing when she was hungry. Her jaundice appears to be going away quickly, thanks to copious amounts of diaper filling. Tasha’s doing well, and we have been taking turns on baby duty to allow the other to sleep. I got to put together Eve’s travel swing today, which we bought using a gift card from Dave and Kevin Vernon. Thanks guys!
She’s being a good girl today, with about three hours between feedings and a lot of sleep otherwise. That allowed me to venture forth in search of nursing supplies and an extra pack of newborn diapers. I must admit, I felt very weird being alone in a breastfeeding store. The lady was helpful and assisted me in getting what we needed. Bosom Buddies is a GREAT store if you need things of this nature. As an aside, we got a GREAT deal on a Medela breast pump… their online price beat out Babies R Us even after a 20% coupon.
Tomorrow is Eve’s first checkup, so we’ll be venturing out into the wide world for the second time as a family. Good times!
