A good day for America

I can remember clearly walking out of my Artificial Intelligence exam to see the reports of an accident: a plane had flown into the Twin Towers in New York.  A few minutes later, another plane crashed into the other tower as the news cameras rolled.  As the day unfolded, we discovered it was not an accident and later we found out who was responsible.  I remember the fear, the confusion… and how angry everyone was.  I also remember people willingly volunteering in droves to serve in the military to bring those that executed this attack to justice.

It is weird to celebrate someone’s death, however when you take into account how many people died in those attacks it seems that President Obama’s words are true: “Justice has been done.”  My hope is that the remaining troops in the area get to come home now.
