Last night was one of the most fun workouts I’ve had in a long time. It’s not very often that I get to mix it up with the likes of McCabe-san… he’s got a pretty unique sparring style. We took turns tenderizing each other last night and it was spectacular. A few times we both remarked that things actually appeared to be slow motion as we were doing it, I can remember a few instances where I was consciously aware of where his techniques were headed. I still need to work on reacting when that happens, but I feel like it is a good sign that I’m starting to see it.

Last night I was trying feverishly to break away from my predisposition to not move forward with technique. Sometimes it paid off and other times it didn’t. For some reason I find this easier to do with the likes of Oedewaldt and Garls, mentally I still have roadblocks that say “don’t do that” when I’m across from Kraft or McCabe. Breaking those down is going to be difficult.
The only nagging injury that came from last night is when I collided my big toe with
Maybe we need to resurrect the idea of the Dalcher-o-matic. 🙂
