Really looking forward to this weekend…

Today has been very… useless at work. It was the Holiday Celebration here, so everyone brought in good food, I was treated to a personal visit by our Section Manager (my bosses bosses boss) to wish me a Merry Christmas and congratulate me on all my good work. He also gave me a nice personalized letter (with paragraph denoting my accomplishments) and a little D6R bulldozer model for my desk.

This afternoon was taken up by some busy work and some programming tasks, and I’m really looking forward to this weekend. Since Karate has been moved to Sunday, I get to sleep in on Saturday. I also get to program some because Tasha will be working and I will have the house to myself. Then Saturday night contains the D&D/giftgiving party for my friends. On Sunday, I get to do some Karate stuff including the reintroduction of to my side kick.

After that, I am a scarce 1.5 days of work away from nearly two weeks off. THAT is going to be sweet. I can’t wait for Christmas to give Tasha her presents! For that matter, I’m really looking forward to tomorrow night so I can give my friends their presents too! I may sound like a big ol’ sap, but I really love Christmas, especially now that I can afford to get people the things I want to get them. I generally don’t like getting presents very much, but I know that whatever Tasha has planned is going to be SUPER awesome and I can’t wait for that either!
