Won’t be at Karate tonight…

For interested parties: I will not be at Karate tonight.

My uncle’s father, Art Ladendorf, died on Saturday and we have to go to his visitation. While technically not a relative of mine, he was frequently there over the years for birthdays, Thanksgivings, and Christmases. He was one hell of a Euchre player, and a very nice old guy. He had been sick in the past few years so I didn’t get to see him much, but that’s to be expected when you’re 87 years old.

I found out that he was a sargeant of the State Police for 25 years, so he’s going to get the State Police processional. I didn’t really know that he was an officer… he never really talked about it much. I did know that he worked for Cat for several years and had quite a few jobs when he was working, but I didn’t know that was one of them.

So anyway… I will be out of town with my family tonight, Tasha and I may come to Mapleton tomorrow night to make up for it. She has to work Thursday night, so it’s likely to be just me. That’s all for now, I have to go to a meeting.
