I got to lead warmups again for tonight’s workout, so I’m continuing my press against bouncing. I’ve gotten several compliments that it helps other people warm up better, so I’m going to keep doing it until either I get bored or I’m told not to. The first class we launched into basic techniques, followed by some partner drills that the black belts got to help correct on.
The second class consisted of much kata, we only made it up through Heian Yondan because we were doing each one several times and there was some good discussion going on in between katas. After class we hung around and talked about the Otis seminar this weekend… still no arrangements have been hammered out as far as rides go, I will likely end up riding with Oedewaldt up there and Erbe & company on the way back.
I felt pretty good during tonights workout, I had a couple of moments where I felt the relaxation and locking come together. McCabe and I sparred a little in between classes and it was good, I felt a little (a lot) too tense but that’s OK. It was a nice release either way.
Tomorrow night is my night off for the week. I plan to get two additional workouts in this weekend with Sensei Otis, so that will put me up to five this week. Good stuff.
