Tonight Tasha and I visited the home of one of my coworkers, Faizal. He and his wife cooked us “mild” Indian food which is actually the temperature of a cool day on Mercury. I am proud to say that I widened my horizons considerably and ate nearly everything put in front of me.
The only thing I didn’t eat much of was the Egg Curry, because I was sure that the potent blend of one billion herbs and spices were going to kill me and I didn’t need eggs on top of that. It was funny, because I really enjoyed everything I was eating, but my nose was running and I was sweating so Faizal thought I didn’t like it. Until I started asking for seconds. 🙂
Faizal’s daughter, Fatina, is *really* cute. She’s two years and three months old, and was into everything. When we got there, she was watching Barney and tried to tell us all the colors on the screen. While Tasha was showing her new Longaberger stuff, Fatina was trying to show me all the different colors in the pottery sample box, calling all of them blue. She was calling Tasha “auntie” and me “uncle” all night, since I don’t think she had other words to call adults that weren’t her parents.
It was a really great time, Faizal’s wife is a very good cook and they are both really fun to be around. We’re going to make an effort to get together with them again soon, its a shame it took us this long.
Those of you that need to be around me in the next few days, I can cast Fireball at a level 5 caster.
